Terms of Service

1. Who we are

Romanian Unlocked is operated by Unlocked Languages (Romanian Unlocked), based in Romania. Contact:hello@mroxy.eu.

2. The service

Romanian Unlocked is a Romanian language course for English speakers: grammar lessons, exercises, flashcards, exams, AI conversation practice and AI grammar help, delivered through a mobile app, plus monthly exercises and printable material for subscribers on this website.

We improve the service as we go. Lessons are added, exercises are corrected and features change. We may add, alter or remove parts of the service, but we will not take away access you have already paid for without a good reason and notice.

3. Your account

• You need an account to subscribe and to keep your progress.
• You must give accurate information and keep your sign-in method secure.
• Your account is yours. Do not share it or let others use your subscription.
• You can delete your account at any time in the app, from Profile and theDanger Zone.
• We may suspend an account that is used to abuse the service, break these terms, or break the law.

4. Subscriptions and billing

Romanian Unlocked is subscription-only. There is no free tier and no permanently free part of the course. The plans and their reference prices are:

1 Month — 50 RON · 6 Months — 270 RON · 12 Months — 480 RON

• Purchases made in the app are handled by the App Store orGoogle Play, under their terms. The price you see there is the price you pay, in your local currency.
• Purchases made on this website are handled by RevenueCat withStripe as the payment processor.
• Subscriptions renew automatically for the same period until you cancel. We will tell you the price and the renewal period before you buy.
• If a payment fails, the store or processor may retry it, and access may be suspended until it succeeds. Your progress is kept.

5. Free trials

The 7-day free trial applies to the 6-month and 12-month plans only. It starts when you subscribe. When it ends, the plan price is charged automatically unless you cancel before then. Cancel during the trial and you are charged nothing.

Only one trial per person. If you have already used a trial on Romanian Unlocked, you will not be offered another.

6. Cancelling and refunds

You can cancel at any time, in your App Store or Google Play subscription settings, or in the customer portal if you subscribed on the web. Cancelling stops the next renewal.

Cancelling does not refund the period you are already in — you keep access until it ends. Refunds follow the policy of whoever took your payment: the store, or the web checkout's processor. In the European Union you also have the statutory right of withdrawal for digital content, but it ends once the content has been made available to you with your agreement, which it is at the moment your subscription starts.

Deleting your account does not cancel your subscription. Cancel it separately, in the place you bought it.

7. Subscriber materials — licence

Your subscription includes access to material you can download: monthly exercise sets, printable PDFs and reference sheets. These are for your own personal learning.

• Print them, write on them, and use them as much as you like, for yourself.
• Do not redistribute them, publish them, sell them, or share them with people who are not subscribers.
• Do not upload them to file-sharing sites, course platforms or AI training sets.
• Do not remove copyright notices from them.

This is a personal, non-transferable licence. It ends when your subscription ends, and you must stop using the materials at that point.

8. Acceptable use

Please do not:

• Copy, scrape, resell or republish the lessons, exercises, flashcard deck or audio.
• Work around the subscription, or try to reach content you have not paid for.
• Use automated tools to hammer the service or the AI features.
• Ask the AI features to produce unlawful, hateful or harmful content, or use them to harass anyone.
• Reverse engineer the app, except where the law says you may.

We may limit or suspend access if these rules are broken, and repeat abuse ends the account. No refund is due in that case.

9. AI features

The AI conversation partner and the AI grammar teacher generate their own answers. They are a study aid, and they can be wrong. They are not a human teacher, and they are not a substitute for advice on anything beyond language learning.

Do not rely on the AI features for legal, medical, financial or safety decisions, and do not send them confidential information: what you write is processed by our AI provider to generate a reply.

AI usage is subject to fair-use limits so that one user cannot exhaust the service for everyone. We may adjust those limits, and we will tell you if they change in a way that affects you.

10. Intellectual property

The lessons, exercises, flashcard content, audio, artwork, the app and this website belong toUnlocked Languages (Romanian Unlocked) and its licensors. Your subscription gives you a personal right to use them, not ownership of them. Nothing in these terms transfers any intellectual property to you, except the limited licence in section 7.

11. Availability

We work to keep Romanian Unlocked running, but we cannot promise it will never be interrupted. Some parts need a connection, maintenance happens, and providers occasionally fail. We are not liable for interruptions outside our reasonable control.

12. Disclaimers

Romanian Unlocked is provided as it is. While we aim for accuracy, the content is a language course, not an official certification, and we do not promise any particular level of fluency or exam result. To the fullest extent the law allows, we exclude the implied warranties that would otherwise apply.

13. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent the law allows, our total liability to you is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim. We are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, or for lost data, profits or opportunities.

Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, including for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud. If you are a consumer, your statutory rights are unaffected.

14. Ending the agreement

You may stop using Romanian Unlocked at any time. We may end this agreement if you seriously or repeatedly break these terms, or if we discontinue the service. If we discontinue the service and you have paid for time you will not get, we will refund that part.

15. Governing law and disputes

These terms are governed by the law of Romania. If we cannot settle a disagreement between us, the courts of Romania have jurisdiction. If you are a consumer, you may also be able to use the European Commission's online dispute resolution platform or your local consumer protection body.

16. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms when the service or the law changes. The date at the top tells you when they last changed, and we will tell you in the app about anything that affects your rights. If you keep using Romanian Unlocked after a change, you accept the updated terms.
